Terry Moran Foundation

The Terry Moran Foundation was created in 1995 by the Moran Family and Friends to honor Terry. On January 18, 1995, Terry Moran was killed in a car accident. It was a tremendous tragedy for his family and one they found difficult to accept. Terry was a great 16" softball player and dramatically influenced the success of the game today. In discussions with many of Terry's friends after his wake, members of the family decided that they wanted to organize a 16" softball tournament that would carry his name. The tournament grew into an annual event benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Greater Chicago Chapter.

Thank you everyone for making the 15Th Annual Terry Moran Day a complete success. Despite cloudy skies and abnormally cool weather the event went off smoothly. Plenty of Hot Dogs, Pizza, Corn on the Cob were enjoyed by many and the Budweiser beer line was always busy.  A BIG thanks to all our volunteers whom are key to the success of this annual charity event.

We hope to see everyone at next year’s event on July 17, 2010 for the Sweet “16” celebration.
